THE STORY
"Chelsea Fire Station" artwork is inspired by a building nestled in the heart of Chelsea. This strikingly aesthetic structure served as one of my earliest inspirations during the 2017 Outside Art Marathon. The mid-century modern architecture of the fire station, constructed in the 1960s, captivated me with its clean lines and bold geometric forms. This mixed media piece pays homage to the timeless elegance of the structure, blending textures and techniques to highlight its architectural beauty. Through layered materials and thoughtful composition, the artwork celebrates both the historical significance and the unique design of this iconic Chelsea landmark, inviting viewers to appreciate the artistry in everyday urban spaces.
