THE STORY
"Curiosity" is a heartfelt artwork inspired by a tender moment with my son during the London lockdown. Capturing his innocence and wonder, the piece depicts him gazing out of our window, transformed by his imagination as he turned a simple paper tube into a telescope to explore the sky. Dressed in his space-themed pyjamas, he embodied a calm yet boundless curiosity that became the essence of this work. The composition combines layers of patterned paper with ink and paint, creating depth and texture to evoke the layered emotions of this time. Selected by curator and art dealer Gita Joshi, "The Curator's Salon", for an emerging artist group online exhibition, "Curiosity" is a celebration of imagination, resilience, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments of discovery.
