THE STORY
“In The Heart Manhattan" is inspired by NYC, of course, on one of my trips to it. I always admired NYC, one of my favourite cities in the world. This place is so magical. The high-rise is amazing. I was on top of the Rock and this is my point of view on the street in NYC. This street is somewhere in the heart of Manhattan between 5th and 6th Avenue. I'm so glad to make it how it was in my mind.

“The Coffee”

The Coffee artwork is mixed-media artwork on paper inspired by the artist’s experience at a newly discovered coffee shop “KolichkaBar” in Sofia, Bulgaria. I love to visit this cosy place in my hometown. My idea came to me when I was observed the walls full of tools and coffee machines. Different shapes and materials where a perfect composition for my mixed-media collage artwork. The piece captures the industrial brutalism of the café’s environment, while also reflecting the smoothness of the coffee and the machinery that produces it. It is created using layered paper and various textures that create a contrast between rough, structured forms and softer, organic elements. The colour palette is mainly neutral, with blacks, greys, and beiges, highlighted by bold splashes of orange. Hand-drawn sketches of coffee-making equipment—such as grinders, cups, and kettles—are intertwined with abstract geometric shapes, reinforcing the industrial aesthetic.
